Lanmora is a self-managed build project in Wiltshire, replacing a derelict bungalow that had previously occupied the site.
A local contracter was initially employed to demolish the bungalow and clear the ground ready for the team at Advanced Foundation Technology to come in and install the insulated raft foundation system.
Touchwood Homes completed the first stage of our works in July 2017, whereby we were commissioned to work with our clients to design, supply and erect the timber frame work, ready for the PAUL MVHR system, which we will return to site and complete the technological installation of at the final build phase.
The home was designed with a simple rectangular external form which has been cleverly detailed to maximise solar gain and summer shading, and features a glazed central gallery staircase and log stove.
The Home has a 5kWp roof mounted PV system, with allowances made for a future installation of a battery unit which will result in the building being able to run free from the national grid for a substantial proportion of the year.
The images in the slideshow below show the Touchwood Homes team at work erecting the pre-cut framework ready for the installation of insulation, windows, doors and final build phase works.
